Just doing my bit for my CCA -
Anyone interested in attending 'Jubilation: Voices in Flight', a combined concert at Esplanade Concert Hall by the HCJC College Choir and the alumni choir? It promises to be a big event.
It's on 23 May 04 (Sunday), 7.30pm at Esplanade Concert Hall. Tickets are priced at $18, $25, $33 & $50. Students get to enjoy a further 60% subsidy from NAC. Tickets will be sold at SISTIC outlets sometime in March 04. But you could drop me a line, or email ticketing@hwachongvoices.com, to book tickets early. Please support this concert!
On a separate note:
Just checked my email after days of coming-home-dead-tired and found something that really warmed my heart: Shawn, our ex-CT rep's 'confession' to the class, about why he loved this class so much despite initial negative impressions. It's impossible for anyone to remain frigidly cynical after such a beautiful, touching email, and anyway I've thawed out quite a lot over the past year, loosened up a bit, interacted more (perhaps). I admit I'm not people-oriented. I don't show enough appreciation for others - although whether that's due to shyness, awkwardness or genuine indifference I've yet to work out.
However, I can always decide to break with tradition /hooray/ and express my love and appreciation for my family, friends, classmates, teachers, seniors /and/ juniors (now that I actually have some) - for coming into my life and sharing some part of their lives with me. It's been an honour, so thank you all very much, and I sincerely wish you all the best in this coming year.
... and Shawn? If you're reading this - special thanks go to you. And no, I didn't think
that was an insult. If anything, it was
quite the opposite.
Now I shall shut up before the rumour mill starts clattering again. :)
